TBH, I didn't really know anything about this until doing a little research today, so I feel like I'm grasping at straws.
I'm not a big believer in sovereignty and all that, but I think we should think about the implications/consequences of unilaterally taking this action. If we do this, Atlasia will be the only country on the UNSC to recognize SADR. Morocco will obviously not be happy and won't be relinquishing their claims just because we recognize SADR, but it may embolden SADR to push harder for independence, leading to more violence. I mean, I could be wrong, but what is the benefit of doing this?
The moroccan occupation of Western Sahara has been filled with human rights abuses, and the conflict has gone on long enough. Atlasia does not have an official position - Instead, let's lead the charge to give these people the territory they deserve. And we should support our allies in Algeria, as well.
