Did the chauvinistic internet nerd bros get the better of her?

Regardless of whether that's true or not, the Doctors' tenures seem to be getting shorter. Or is it just me?
Not really. No Doctor since Tom Baker has lasted longer than three seasons for one reason or another.

That said, I'm hoping that Big Finish picks up the rights to the Whittaker era soon, see how a different writer's team handles Thirteen. (Granted, at best it's going to be the Thirteenth Doctor Chronicles, but...)

Surprised to see Chibnall leaving (I was half-expecting him to pull a JNT and stick around until the show gets axed), but it's for the best. I said it seven months ago, and I'll say it again:

It was fun, if a bit hard to follow (although I imagine a lot of it will pay off in future episodes). I might have to re-watch the whole season once it ends, just because having the full context of the serial might help me understand it better.

This episode was much easier to follow, and the bits and pieces of The Halloween Apocalypse that made it difficult to understand definitely paid off this week. Maybe I'll re-watch it after it's done anyway, despite things making more sense this week.

Ncuti Gatwa is the new Doctor. Black and gay, going to piss off the usual.
I didn't realize he was gay, but honestly, now that I know, I'm even more excited than I was before.

Another good episode but boy did that trigger the usual suspects. Though it was basically a “we have Captain Jack at home”.
Oh yeah, my folks thought he was sort of a regenerated Captain Jack (which would make sense, considering Jonathan Groff has played a recast character before [Smith in Matrix Resurrections] and I suspect John Barrowman won't be involved again anytime soon). I will say, I love that these bitches gay.

Also, did they just make Richard Grant (Scream of the Shalka) a doctor now? Or is that a hint for the future?
Honestly, it's too bad "Scream of the Shalka is canon now" wasn't here 6 months ago. That'd be an appropriate way to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
