So, according to the Clinton campaign they raised 37 million dollars. Also according to the Clinton campaign, Sanders raised more than Clinton. So Sanders raised more than 37 million dollars, according to the Clinton campaign? It makes sense, as he is receiving tons of donations.
It looks like Sanders announced 1 million contributions on the final day of the 3rd quarter (September 30th), 2 million contributions on December 16th, and 2.3 million contributions on December 20th. Campaigns make heavy pushes in the last week of the quarter, so he could end with as high as even 2.5 or 2.6 million contributions. If we assume an average donation of $25 and 1.4-1.6 million contributions this quarter, he could actually end with somewhere between $35-$40 million.
35-40 million includes numbers that are more than 37 million. It looks like Sanders may have received more money than Hillary, which would be a big thing.
