At this point, I just can't imagine him winning a second term. In addition to the daily scandals and gaffes, he has the unpopular pension "reform" and the gutting of Medicaid.

With the whole pension drama going on, Bevin may have just signed his political death warrant.

He's done. He said all teachers have a "thug mentality", and that was it for him.

To say that people here hate Matt Bevin would be an understatement. People are itching for 2019.

Just wait until Monday when the Republicans expand the sales tax to cover food. You ain't seen nothin' yet.

Also, are you in a more conservative part of the state?

I am, and people here hate him too.

I certainly am.

Who do you think might run?  Rumor is that Allison Grimes is likely to do it.

Andy Beshear is a real possibility, and he'd win.

Hopefully, Bevin's 2019 opponent will run on restoring Medicaid - and not back down when confronted by 1% mob rule.

Also, most of Kentucky's population isn't even in Appalachia. The cities are growing, and the rural counties are shrinking.
