Sounds like The Oregonian is being a bunch of sore losers.

Republicans do stuff worse than this all the time, and it never gets reported.

What Kasich has done is so much worse, but nobody makes him resign.

I'm starting to worry that he died. Why would 5 police cars appear if all they wanted to do is arrest him?

Looking at Kitzhaber's Facebook page, it appears as if people overwhelmingly want him to stay. It's surprising Facebook users would support him, because you know how arrogant and whiny Republicans on Facebook are. They think every Democrat should resign if they have a nosering or chewed bubble gum in school when they were 8 years old.

This wasn't about Kitzhaber, but about Amanda Curtis. They opposed Curtis because she has a nosering.

This may well be the first time ever - in any country - that a popular public figure who hadn't been charged with any ethical or legal violations resigned all because a newspaper told him to.

Kitzhaber's seemed kind of off to me for a while now.

I've seen a few mentions - none of them necessarily credible, I should add - that Kitzhaber has been showing symptoms of dementia since the second half of his previous term.

Not buying it unless you post link(s) to the claims. I remember someone saying the same thing about Neil Abercrombie and I could never find it anything.

There was a politician in Kentucky who used to be great. But then a few years ago, he began acting bizarrely. He was only in his early 60s. I suspected he was suffering from dementia. Not long after, he died.

I haven't seen anything that suggests Kitzhaber has dementia, although he is slightly older.
