Sooner or later, the Democrats need to grow a backbone and admit welfare "reform" failed.

Deval Patrick - "It's time for Democrats to grow a backbone!"

He must be reading my comments here.

One thing is for sure....the crowd shots are a lot different at the DNC

The folks at the RNC looked downright bored in comparison.

A job report that will fundamentally and permanently alter the state of the race, despite none of the previous job reports really affecting it at all.

The previous bad jobs reports blew up right in Romney's idiotic face.

PBS has spent most of the evening interviewing people and not covering the speeches.

The economy?  Wink

As if the Republicans have such a great record on the economy?

But for network primetime they turn around and become a centrist party full of sunshine and hope for tomorrow.

As long as centrist means centrist, and not like DLC ultra-rightists.

I'd have a lot more regard for the Democrats if they'd just come right out and say Romney is evil.

So far, because of booing the 'Jerusalem is the capital of Israel' plank

Nobody cares about that incident, OK?

I haven't heard of it -- could you explain? I'm legitimately curious, this is one of those few issues I feel rather strongly about and have a left-wing bent. Who's talking about it?

Clinton was obsessed with it back in '96, remember?

Hate to say it, but he's downright wrong about the economy starting to expand in the mid-'90s. That's when the economy really started going down the johnnypooper. But it was primarily because of the Republican Congress.

It's time to set the record straight on that.

I just wish Bill Clinton had been this good while he was President. Talk about a missed opportunity.

Brit Hume pretty much proved himself to be a desperate loser.

The House of Representatives is why God gave dragonflies the ability to sew people's mouths shut.
