Haider had just left a gay club before he died.  Perhaps he was so horrified by what he saw there that he just couldn't drive away fast enough?

No. I meant "worst-kept" when I said it. Besides, there's nothing ugly about being gay (although some of Haider's voters might have disagreed.)

Unconfirmed rumors about anybody on virtually any personal matter are usually ugly; I was not implying that homosexuality is ugly.  Besides, given who we're talking about, I meant "fair enough" when I said it.
