If you haven't heard about this already, basically our somewhat rotund Attorney General, Marc Dann (D), admitted to an extramarital affair with an aide last week.  This revelation followed a shady series of events involving a sexual harassment suit filed against another employee in his office, so essentially, all kinds of crazy sh**t has been going on.  A whole bunch of people (including Governor Strickland) are calling for Dann to resign.

Anyway, the real kicker is the latest development.  House Speaker Jon Husted (R) - who happens to be my state representative, incidentally - wants to launch a congressional investigation to see if Dann committed any impeachable offenses.  But first they'll need the advice and assistance of the state's top attorney... Marc Dann.

...

The last state government had the "missing" $13m rare coin collection, so I was kinda wondering what the new government would bring us.  I love my state sometimes.

HAHAHA . . .

Husted:  "Excuse me Mr. Dann, do we have enough evidence to impeach you?"

Dann:  "No.  You don't know about the two other women I've slept with an intimidated while in office.  Once you find out about those, then you can start the procedings."

Husted:  "Damn.  Thanks Dann.  I guess we have to wait."

Essentially, yeah.  Cheesy

Update:

Marc Dann has resigned.

On Saturday, the Democratic State Central Committee overwhelmingly voted to strip Dann of their endorsement, strip him of his membership in the party, and called for his immediate resignation.  Then on Monday, articles of impeachment were filed against him, with 42 of 45 House Democrats supporting all counts.

Following his resignation at a press conference in Columbus yesterday, Dann was led through the streets of the city where he was pelted with rotten fruit and vegetables by bystanders, and was then coated in tar and feathers and displayed to crowds near the Rhodes State Office Tower.  Governor Ted Strickland and leading government dignitaries were present for the traditional ceremony.

Dann was then driven to an undisclosed rural location in Fairfield County, where he was lynched.

He is survived by his wife Alyssa and their three children.

Ah, gotcha.  I misunderstood.  And yes, I agree.
