KANSAS CAUCUS RESULTS

With 100% of precincts reporting, I'm pleased to announce that the winner is:

Rep. James Wallace of Virginia!!

The full results are as follows:

Wallace 68.9%   + $1,000,000
Cereal 31.1%   + $500,000

ANALYSIS

Another victory for Jim Wallace tonight, and by a pretty resounding margin too.  It was probably more of a symbolic victory however, since Kansas is relatively light on delegates, and Andrew Cereal still has a clear lead on that front.

Wallace again put in the kind of effort we've all come to expect; nothing short of exhaustive.  Working almost up to the end of his schedule here in Kansas, and spending nearly half of his remaining budget, he did a lot to ensure victory here tonight.  His speeches were of the same kind of caliber we've been seeing so far (which has been excellent).  He also made a very wise move in investing in the most efficient and effective campaign organization possible, which really boosted him even further ahead.

Andrew Cereal again put in a decent effort in Kansas, much like in the last stage.  However, compared to the sheer force and volume of his opponent, it simply wasn't enough.  Whereas Wallace produced a maximum number of speeches and ads, and had the highest level of organization, Cereal produced four speeches, no ads, and had no organization at all.  That said, his style of speaking has improved a lot lately.  But will that alone be enough to stop his hemorrhaging momentum?  The next stop is Illinois; a large state in his Midwestern back yard.  It could well be make or break.
