Why, however, are the same folks outraged over this not outraged over the very existance of Sanctuary Cities, which are no less a violation of law?

Are you just as outraged by the ten states where recreational marijuana use - a federal crime - is legal?  (I'm almost scared to ask!)

Recreationsl marijuana users didn't murder Kate Steinle, forever changing her family's lives for the worse.  A repeat criminal with an unserved ICE warrant did that.

So, no, I'm not quite as outraged about Florida's marijuana law.

Don't complain.  You're the one that "went there".

Well at least your inconsistency is consistent!  Picking and choosing which laws you're fine being left uninforced is all part of this debate, of course.

(Oh and Ms Steinle represents 0.006% of all US homicides in 2015.  Every homicide is a tragedy obviously, but you're deliberately masking the forest and spotlighting one of the trees to try to sell your narrative.  All victims' murderers are criminals, by definition, if of course they weren't criminals already.  But you already know that. Smiley )

Trump definitely offered pardons to Homeland Security Officials, and seems very frustrated:
