Current list of teams:

Blue State Blues (Akno21)
ACRC Populist (Al)
PA Far Righties (Jake)
DC Dove-Chicken Hawks (Joe Republic)
People's Republic of Cambridge (Blerpiez)
NC Liberals (nclib)
Pittsburgh Progressives (True Democrat)

Does everyone agree that for the draft we start with the first owners, go down the list, and then go back up for the second round, and on and on. At this point, I would have the 1st overall selection and the 14th, then so on.

Sounds good.  I take it we can't pick people other people have already chosen?  Or is that a dumb question?

Not to be picky, but you spelled 'Cornyn' wrong.  I just wanted to clear it up before I get the team shirts printed Wink

Hmm . .  . We probably should have given Josh 48 hours.

You're probably right now you mention it.  But he still hasn't responded even after 48 hours.  Did anybody PM him to remind him?  If not, we should probably still let him pick.

Does anyone still care about this?  We've had to skip quite a few people so far.

I'm all for sending a PM to whoever follows you as a reminder.

The forum has been up and down more than Opebo's pants in  . . . sorry, too gross an image  to finish.

Anyway, when the forum starts jerking our chains like that it is going to be easy for people to miss picks.

I would give the following people 24 hours from now to make a pick from whoever is still available:

5. Oklahoma Dust Bowlers, TexasGurl
6. Minnesota Marxists, BRTD
7. Washington Interns, MHS2002
8. The Gay Nightmare, Hughento
9. Pittsburgh Progressives, True Democrat
10. NC Liberals, Nclib
11. People's Republic of Cambridge, Blerpiez
12. DC Dove-Chicken Hawks, Joe Republic

After those 24 hours are up I would resume the rest of the round as normal.

Any objections?

Sounds good to me.  I know I'm last on that list, but I pick Rep. John Carter (R-TX).

Have you already PMed the others on that list?  If not, I will.

I've already PM'ed Blerpiez, but because he's away this weekend, we should probably just wait till he takes his turn before skipping him.

I would say keep going to keep this moving and let him pick when he returns.

Should I pick or are we going to wait for blerpiez?

There's no hurry to get this done.  I say we wait - it's only fair.

I propose that we keep on drafting and let him pick when he comes back, but if Blerpiez wants a person who was picked after his turn, he can have him, and that team will simply pick someone else.

Good idea. Smiley

Can we please get into the habit of PMing the next person after you've had your turn?

I'll PM BRTD now.

Well I think 2 and a half days is long enough for the appropriately named Lazy Josh.

Tredrick is up again.

I thought John Ford's idea was that the people with the fewest open slots goes first?  That would mean Josh goes last.
