the only Democratic candidate I see having a shot at taking on McCain is Obama.  I really dont have an electoral theory or strategy to go along with that claim.  Call it a gut feeling.

Hillary can win.  Gore can win, if he runs.  Knowing the Democrats, there's bound to be some dark horse candidate we'll be talking about early next year.

Who is the other candidate that is for sure running?

By the way, my post was based strictly on McCain winning the nomination, which I think is very likely after the whoopin the Republicans just took in the midterms.  He's about as close to a sure thing as there is.
