I support it after a constitutional amendment is passed allowing the government to explore space.

Maybe some government involvement, given the benefits of space travel (those that CrabCake mentioned, plus the ability to search for a new place to live if we break or overpopulate this one) but I'd rather we let the taxpayers keep that money, or at least put it on more important things as DavidB pointed out.
