The regular season is over, and the first round of the playoffs will soon being.



There are too many teams (although it could be worse) and every series needs a corporate sponsor. Bleh.

My pessimistic predictions:

Toronto will sweep Minnesota, and lose to Houston.

Baltimore will lose to the winner of the WC round despite being the number one seed. Ownership will trade off key pieces to New York or Boston for money.

NLCS is Atlanta vs. LA Dodgers. Houston will win the ALCS.

I'd like to see Milwaukee in the WS.

The Brew crew was the team I was thinking of bandwagoning, as they have Carlos Santana (my favorite player), and have never won the WS. Meh.

The Rays have also never won the WS, but they lost to the Rangers who also never won. They go up against the #1 seed Baltimore Orioles, who last won in 1983.
