Funny enough, the Prohibition Party is still getting votes 147 years after it was founded.
The list of convention sites shows a pretty sad decline over the years. They used to hold them in concert halls, then hotels, then churches, and they had a conference call last year.
But the interesting thing is, in 2016 (the conference call year) they still got 866 more votes than every vote from 1996–2012 combined.
Protest voters methinks.
The Prohibition party might make an attempt at relevance if weed legalization passes and the Republicans don't oppose it.
As for the VPA, probably a small group of activist veterans and relatives of said.
