I was just reading about Gore's defeat in the 2000 Presidential Election and like many other people I wonder if there was a chance if things played out differently, will Gore had a better chance of winning the presidency.

The beginning of the 21st century proved to be a promising time for America and the world. Despite a lot of different set backs-Columbine, Lewinsky scandal, etc.-I feel Gore would have a better shot if his running mate was a woman, instead of man.

Why I say this is because of the pre-9/11 optimistic age for many Americans. Imagine Gore encouraging voters to vote for him because of economy and a promising future, where everyone, regardless of their backgrounds, can make something of themselves. A female running mate will seal because it set's up a new future for America, which we should all agree multiple Americans would like.

Now I know multiple users will disagree with me on this but I want to here you out. I was too young to remember anything and all I know is how everything felt optimistic and promising, which I believe could have been very useful if used rightly.
