Masks are a symbol.  A powerful one.  When the populace sees a mask mandate, they know the government is "doing something" and taking their health seriously.  The mandates work exactly as intended.

So masks are apparently now merely a symbol, nope they don't protect you or anything. Oh, forgive me for preaching such radical nonsense, instead they merely make you think you're protected. Oh, if that sounds like a bunch of drivel, it's because the post above me is indeed nonsensical drivel, thus it belongs in this thread.
