If Jesus came back why would he be in the US? More likely he's stuck in the West Bank and is shot by the IDF trying to get to Jerusalem through the barrier.

He starts another ultra-Orthodox sect proclaiming himself the Messiah with the goal of taking over Israel and rebuilding the Temple to institute the 1,000 year Kingdom of God. If successful the bulldozing of the al-Aqsa Mosque triggers a war with the Islamic world which ends in a nuclear exchange killing millions and irradiating much of the Middle East.
More likely than either of those, He returns with the clouds of Heaven and judges both the living and the dead. If Christianity is true (as would be implied by the Second Coming), then we can see what the Second Coming would look like based on the Book of Revelation. As it turns out, it is absolutely nothing like what random posters on Atlas or on Reddit evidently think it would be.
