How is nonintervention discredited? I doubt Europe would be in the precarious position it is in today if Western governments had not sought to spread the gospel of democracy to autocratic regimes for the last two decades.
Well France wasnt involved in the Iraq war and cant really be blamed for creating ISIS, though they did play a role in Libya.So American intervention has negative externalities for French citizens. Therefore, intervention is good?
Also, France was the first country to call for Gaddafi's ouster. Absent that, I doubt any of the other countries would have pursued action, and the rebels in Syria might have been more amenable to a peace deal if they were not holding out for Western intervention of similar proportion.
