True. Trump would not be doing so well if he weren't hitting on something real. What he is doing is tapping into the zeitgeist. You know those poll questions that ask something like "understands people like you?" That's Trump. He gets what ordinary Americans are going through in this economy.

Ordinary Americans need abortions, universal healthcare, non-free trade, and are born into a multimillionaire's home.
Listen: Trump's father owned $300,000,000 by the time Donald Trump was eighteen. Trump didn't go from zero to a billion. Ordinary Americans never have the luxury of owning half of Manhattan. I won't get that luxury by working 100%.
