Yeah there is no way Bolton could get confirmed. All it would take is 3 Republicans to flip over and I can't see Collins, Flake, Paul, etc confirming Bolton. Corker on the other had would get though easily.

Interesting. would it really be that difficult of a process to confirm John Bolton? Surprise

I'm cool with that.

Anyone. But. Bolton. That's all I want.

Of course, my ideal pick would be Richard Haas, but he's unlikely to get picked at this rate. Sad

Sessions was the only member of Congress who supported Trump from the very beginning - even while he was initially coy about making an explicit endorsement, he was already working with the campaign behind the scenes. I really don't envision Trump throwing Sessions under the bus. If he does that's a yuge sign that Trump won't be able to stand up for himself against the GOP Congress

I expect to see a lot of shadowboxing in the White House and Congress among different Republican factions for the next four years. They certainly won't be in lockstep.

I do laugh my rear end off at some Trump supporters on the internet who legitimately hoped that RAND PAUL or even freaking RON PAUL would be Donald Trump's Secretary of State. My freaking sides. XD

It took the threat of nominating John Bolton for me to welcome possible Sec of State Rudy Giuliani with open arms.

I do wish Richard Haas was the one who was about to picked right now instead of Giuliani.

It would have been pretty nice to see the President of the Council on Foreign Relations running....well...foreign relations and whatnot.

Hmmm....now that the game of musical chairs has ended, the cabinet is starting to look a bit more reasonable. Bolton and Myron Ebell have gone down a notch on the speculation ladder, which is good.

CNN saying Cotton likely for Defense, sources say Kobach for AG.

Ugh.

I did not see that coming.

So Giuliani just called the anti-Trump protesters "goons and thugs."

I wonder if this will effect his bid for SoS.

He will enact crippling economic sanctions on anti-Trump supporters. /s

I wish Brown was picked as VP instead of Mike "I'm a Christian, Conservative, and Republican, in that order" Pence.

I'm quite pleased to the see that James Mattis has been picked. He will be a great Secretary of Defense, and enjoys quite high popularity among the military and veterans.

I heard rumors that Jon Huntsman is a possible contender for Secretary of State.

That would be pretty great!

EDIT: Found the source.

AP: Jon Hunstman Jr. in late running for secretary of state

Fox is reporting that Carly Fiorina is being considered for SoS and Marsha Blackburn confirms it.

I pray that she doesn't get picked. She is extremely hawkish on Russia.

Not talking to Putin? At all? Conducting "massive" military exercises on it's border? Enjoy a return to the bad old day of 1982-1984.

I pray that Fiorina is simply getting the "Romney Treatment". I'm sure she is a very smart woman, but she simply is not qualified at all to be the DNI.

Oh well, at least we will have a competent man running the CIA.
