Would this not be better placed under US General Discussion rather than the Presidential Election?  Those schoolchildren may be watching the campaign, but they won't be voting. 

The children do learn about these things, and it has been widely reported that teachers are frustrated by it.  See, for example, this article.

His hateful words have distinguished him as a topic for class discussion because our conversations are not about who should win the presidency, but how presidential candidates should comport themselves on the campaign trail. My students need to know that Trump's behavior is beyond historical precedent.

It's still information relevant to the election.

The point, in this context, is that they should know that this isn't something that happens every election.
