My preferences
1. National IRV vote.
2. National top-two runoff vote.
3. Abolish the Presidency.
4. National direct vote (option 4 on your poll--the one I voted for)
5. Proportional EVs (option 3 on your poll)
...
6. Tie it to CDs (option 2 on your poll--really, if you're going to reform the system, why this?)
7. Leave it as is (option 1 on your poll--the one that would help maintain the two-party stranglehold on the Presidency)
Also, I'd decrease the power of the Presidency and give more control to a proportionally-elected (either STV, MMP, or, preferably, a mix of both) Congress, where the voice of smaller parties can be heard and the larger parties will be forced to actually do what is in the best interests of the voters, instead of themselves, as there would now be viable alternatives.
