Well Mueller finally got his man and it wasn't Trump.

Yeah, and I mean the charge was only for lying to the FBI - nothing near as bad as what Democrats were saying! Tongue

Trump is dropping in RCP and 538. Maybe we can get to 36% if he keeps this up.

If you rank the days of the Trump presidency by how much underwater he is in the RCP average, there are only five days when his net approval was -19 or lower:

8/13/17: -20.0
8/7/17: -19.5
8/8/17: -19.5
12/7/17: -19.2 (current)
11/15/17: -19.0

Also, his current disapproval rating on RCP is at an all-time high of 57.5% If we are generous to Trump and assume that everyone who voted for a candidate other than him disapproves of him, that means that at bare minimum, about 7.4% of all Trump voters (representing 3.4% of the total electorate) now actively disapprove of his job performance, given the 54.1-45.9 split of not Trump-Trump voters in the election.

I would have thought the tax bill would have helped him but he's been nosediving on RCP. He's lost two points in the last week or so.

Why, given the bill's 29% support among the public?

Quinnipiac:

Approve 36% (-2)
Disapprove 58% (+1)

Trump's numbers have been pretty sable since about the end of August with Q.

If this poll represents reality and the national trend that I see in my approval map, then I can imagine President Trump losing the popular vote at least 45-55 with much less interstate polarization.

Trump lost the popular vote 46-54 in the last election. It doesn't mean a thing unless the opposition is unified.
