Rep. Tom Reed, R-New York, told CNN in an interview that he was “concerned with that type of language.”

“Well, obviously, I was just made aware of that tweet. I don’t know the context of the exchange. But obviously, I’m concerned about that type of language,” he said on CNN. “Maybe the intent is to distract from the health care debate. But I want to be part of the debate that’s impacting the American people.”

I have to say I'm pretty surprised at the magnitude of the reaction this is getting on both sides. This whole episode is so prototypically Trump, it hardly even seems worth discussing. Is anybody's opinion changing at all from this?

TIL the person who previously held Morning Joe's time slot on MSNBC was none other than Don Imus. Oh how times have changed.

Don't know if this has been posted, but for their part the Enquirer has responded:

“At the beginning of June, we accurately reported a story that recounted the relationship between Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, the truth of which is not in dispute.  At no time did we threaten either Joe or Mika or their children in connection with our reporting on the story.  We have no knowledge of any discussions between the White House and Joe and Mika about our story, and absolutely no involvement in those discussions.”
