Either;

Fred Thomson for 8 years
Thomson's VP for 8 years (don't know him well enough to predict who that'll be)
Mark Sanford for 8 years

Or;

Hillary Clinton for 4 years
Elizabeth Dole for 8 years
Dole's VP for 8 years (don't know him well enough to predict who that'll be)

I'd like;

Ron Paul for 8 years
Mark Sanford for 8 years
Tom Tancredo for 8 years

Thirty-two years of uninterrupted Republican control of the White House?  A little optimistic, don't you think?

Maybe.  I've got a reason, though.  From what I've heard, Fred Thompson is one of the few true fiscally conservative Republicans left.  A lot of people are upset about spending, so someone who would focus on cutting the deficit would make his party pretty popular (IMHO.)

Elizabeth Dole will be too old in another five years.  Bob Dole is a really old man right now, and I think he'd be too old to be in the White House for 8 years, if he lasts that long.  Especially if Lizzy is ousted from the Senate in 2008 like she could very well be.

Hmm.  I didn't think of that.  We'll need to nominate a woman, so I automatically thought of Dole as the most well known female Republican.
