Now that we have a name and some corroboration, this needs to be thoroughly investigated by the Senate Judiciary Committee.

If more accusations come and Kavanaugh gets pulled, Dems can use the GOP Senators' comments about Dr. Ford as attack fodder.  They can attack them as stating on the record they'd vote for someone who'd commit this type of stuff.

The GOP "leadership" in the Senate is a complete dumpster fire.  They completely screwed the pooch on this whole thing.

No matter what happens to Judge Kavanaugh, they deserve to lose in November.

If Trump fires Rosenstein, that gives red state Dems even more cover to reject Kavanaugh.  The rape allegations are just the cherry on the sundae.

If Trump continues to double down, it won't matter if Kav is rejected in an up-or-down vote.  The fact that the President, certain Senators, certain Senatorial candidates, etc. stood by him, will be used in ads across the country.  The damage has been done.

If Kavanaugh somehow gets confirmed, I don't see Kagan, Sotomayor, and Ginsburg interacting with him much, even on a professional/collegial level.
