Not surprising, it probably was someone from the Romney camp who made this up.

what they don't understand is that the more the establishment endorses Romney, the more coal shoveled into the engine of the Cain Train.

Chances are he's going to follow Rand and endorse Ronald Reagan 2.0 aka Ron Paul.
