I can't help but think his coziness with Islam gave way to the laziness of understanding its order that helped bring about the massacre at the army base there.

I'm no fan of Perry, but to connect Perry with an incident on a US Army base in Texas....?!  Perry, even as Governor of Texas, has ZERO impact with the procedures within US Army bases in Texas.  You think the Army gives a flying flip about what the governor of Texas thinks about Muslims?!
