Depends on whether Harris gets her act together or not. If she runs an incompetent campaign like the last time around or surrounds herself with the same people as she has her VP office running, Whitmer could easily make inroads. Her reelection clearly demonstrates some appeal to black voters, imho.
That said, I would definitely support Whitmer in a primary matchup between them although I initially backed Harris in 2019.
