Ironically, it's home to Rancho del Cielo, President Reagan's Ranch. It's also the only place in California I have ever been (apart from going to LAX to head back home). Now, I was there for a conservative event, so the people I interacted with were definitely not representative of the county.
Also, CA-24, which is based in that county, was very close in the 2016 house race, but who knows if it will be again this year.
