No, but there is an off chance of flurries late next week.  Nothing will stick, though.  We usually get one or two snowfalls of more than a coating a year, but it melts very quickly (since we usually never go too long without a nice day in the winter).

With the drought we're having we probably wont have snow this winter.

The drought seems to be retreating to me, and it is far colder this December than it was last year.  Some areas might actually see a coating on the back-end of the cold front that will move through overnight Saturday into Sunday (after it will be near 70 during the day on Saturday).

We had snow that partially covered the ground once, and that was for about 24 hours.  But, since the average high this January has been 55 degrees, we obviously have not had much winter weather.

We still have not had a single day with measurable snow on the ground (there was one day with trace amounts), and only 0.7 inches of snowfall total (most of which never stuck).  I'm not sure that we will get a real snowfall this year, and I'm perfectly OK with that.  I'll take this 60 degree and cloudy "winter" over actual cold and snow.  Some years, we get an actual winter, but other years, we just get three seasons down here.

Tuesday could reach the mid-to-upper 70s if everything breaks right.

Well, now that the unofficial first day of spring in the South (opening day of college baseball season) has passed, let me say that, if this winter was caused by global warming, let's see if we can cause some more of that!!  All winter, we got a coating of snow once and never had measurable snow on the ground.  60s and even 70s were the norm this year (as I type this on a beautiful Friday afternoon with bright sunshine and temperatures in the 70s)!

For the first time this spring, the NWS is now reporting that there is a detectable heat index (really just a "mere" 77 degrees) in Nashville.

I'm going up to CPAC tonight, and I remember getting caught in a snowstorm in the mountains when I went in 2015 and it still snowing in DC (I am flying this year anyway).  Even last year, I remember waiting outside in the cold to get into some events (and it was in March).  This year, on the other hand, it is going to be 76 degrees!

It's even only in the mid-50s (but sunny) right now in Nashville, after being in the 80s Friday afternoon.  Up at CPAC- which saw snow the last two years- we were eating dinner outside!

Tomorrow is only supposed to be 50 for the high, but, at least, sunny.  Saturday will be right back in the 60s, though.
