For those who don't know, the GOP Congressmen and the Democrat ones play each other in a baseball game every June.  The all-time series is nearly tied (both parties have claims on the all-time edge), but the Republicans have yet to win during the Obama years.  Last year's 5-2 Democratic margin was the closest the Republicans have come since last winning it in 2008 (11-10).  In 2013, the Democrats won it 22-0.

Fun fact: Since 1968, the winner of the game has gone on to win the presidential election popular vote 9 of 12 times (in presidential years) (1980, 1992, and 2008 are the exceptions).

The rosters are:

Any predictions?  Is this the year the GOP finally breaks through again?

Final score: GOP 8, Democrats 7

Tom Rooney hit a walkoff single to right field to win the game.  The GOP led 6-1 after 5 innings, but the Democrats took advantage of Republican errors to take the lead in the 6th, 7-6.  Then, in the bottom of the 7th (of a 7-inning game), the donkeys replaced star pitcher Cedric Richmond when he was in a jam, replacing him with Patrick Murphy.  With a runner on third and two outs in a 7-7 game, under a chorus of "Marco Rubio" chants from the GOP faithful, Murphy buckled and let Rooney be the hero.
