Okay, folks. We're back, I'll give Mr. Kenobi (who needs to swear-in) 24 Hours to open his Speakership Nominations and Election.

Out of curiosity, how would a tie be resolved?

I think the assumption was that since there is no Lt. Governor, the Governor will resolve ties. In any case, we have an odd numbered chamber for a reason, so I would of course hope that everyone votes soon.

Speakership is decided by the delegates, not the Governor. We've gotten away from Governors appointing the Speakers for quite some time now.

The resolution of ties was the question here, I am quite aware that Governors do not get to appoint Speakers, as I opened this thread for a reason.

Ben. Stop it. There is nothing in the rules here. Speakership isn't a partisan position, and it's obvious JTC won here.

If this is not resolved in 12 hours, I will be taking control of the situation.

Well, see, we have all been waiting a week to actually get to work. I am not waiting for a Court case to be decided. Since we have a vacancy, I am using my power under Article 3, Section 8, to make the appointment of Speaker, as our current rules are absent of the procedure under a tie. This appointment shall only be temporary until the decision is finished falling under my administrative powers to execute the law, and does not break Article 4, Section 9, as the rules do not provide for the tie of a election, therefore the decision and power of the Chamber to elect it's leader is now for the Judicial Branch to decide under Article 5, Section 3, to interpret the law.

TL;DR: The Chamber has voted and there is no certain conclusion, (because ties are not provided for in the Constitution, nor the Rules of our Chamber in contrast to their powers in A4S9) therefore I will be using my administrative powers to appoint a Speaker to fulfill my obligations to make "political appointments".

This was all going to Brase anyways...

I'm contesting this and filing my own case against Governor Never Again.

I think I explained it pretty clearly, are you confused on something?

JTC: End the lawsuit against Ben,, and apologize.

Ben: Call a new vote, 48 hours. End the lawsuits against me.

Everyone is sick and tired of shenanigans and tomfoolery.
