I believe that means all of UT's House delegation is for Rubio now. Wow.

Well, not a surprise, but it's a Senate endorsement so I guess it's technically big.

By the way, Reps. Frank Pallone (D-NJ) and G. K. Butterfield (D-NC) have both endorsed Clinton.

Huh. He seems like way more of a Cruz kind of guy.

I'd say Rubio is to Cruz's left economically, however. On social issues, definitely to Cruz's right.

In terms of actual policy positions, Rubio is to the right of Cruz (Cruz voted to weaken the Patriot Act), so it is not weird at all.

2009 and 2013 are worlds away in the progress of gay marriage support. The person that supports gay marriage when public support is in the high 30s deserves more recognition on the issue than the person that supports gay marriage only after a majority are in favor.

This. Anyway:

Woo hoo!

Are endorsements by Iowa Senators Ernst and Grassley to be expected before the caucus, or not?

Probably not.

It's almost like Clinton was doing something from 2009-2013 that precluded her from making controversial statements regarding domestic policy........

Problem is, she was also against same-sex marriage during her 2008 campaign, as was Barack Obama.

Which doesn't really phase me. It's nice that Bernie came out for SSM before Hillary, but it's a lot easier to do that being from Vermont, with no real national ambitions, than to do so from the position(s) Hillary has been in.

So do we prefer the politician who is open about his views even when they're unpopular or the politician who chooses what she does and doesn't say based off of whether doing so is politically advantageous?

Total Senate Endorsements:

Hillary Clinton - 39
Bernie Sanders - 1
Marco Rubio - 7
Jeb Bush - 5
John Kasich - 1
Ted Cruz - 1

Fifty-four total endorsements in the Senate so far. Sanders, Rubio, and Cruz each count as one for themselves.

Wonder if Grassley is now going to endorse someone else.

He's irrelevant now.

One of the most elder Republicans in the Senate and the Chair of an important committee is not irrelevant

Hate to say so, but nobody really votes based off of who chairs the important committees in the Senate.
