Yeah, for whatever reason I feel really pessimistic here now too. JMC having Edwards under 50% didn't help.....

If Edwards loses, RIP polling industry? They've had an awful lot of misses recently.....

Hey, you know, at least that means Bernie Sanders will win the SC primaries.

So according to the pundits, Dems losing in deep red Kentucky was an ominous sign for them in the presidential race in 2016, so I guess Dems winning in deep red Louisiana must mean they're in for a guaranteed landslide!

Eh, I think it's a little bit of both.

Obvious Clinton vs. Rubio map:

Oh but I thought that trolling was of the devil

Edwards leading 54-46 with 68% in. Nungesser up 58-42, and AP called AG for Landry with him leading 57-43.

...but there's 75% in (55-45 JBE)

Ouachita and Jefferson are 50/50 right now.

Hoping he can win Jefferson to make all his counties touch Tongue

Jefferson flipped to 51-49 Edwards with only two precincts left.

Great news, but unfortunately, Ouachita is for Vitter, so all of Edwards' parishes won't connect Sad

I like the grid that seems to have formed with MT/CO/MN/MO/LA

And yeah Walker (AK) is basically a Republican so

Not unreasonable for after 2018, but perhaps a bit too optimistic (especially if Hillary is elected)

Ouachita Parish (Monroe)

This is the the most polarized large parish in the state. The Duck Dynasty people live here - obviously Vitter's ad with them didn't help very much, as he came very close to losing it.

I wasn't expecting Edwards to come this close, but the results is about on par with previous elections. Jindal carried it by almost 6% in 2003 and Duke got 50.6% in 1991.

Edwards would have had all contiguous counties with it Sad

AOS did an analysis of the LA runoff.

'Looks like the author stole a lot of my work from this thread, though.

What a terrible person that author must be. You should sue him, Miles.
