Not an American, but I continue to find it crazy that both parties have become so incredibly extreme on this issue, either supporting "abortions" right up until birth and calling everyone who opposes this a dangerous infringer of the rights of "people who give birth", or on the other side of the spectrum, people thinking the morning after pill already amounts to genocide.

I get that a middle road isn't as intellectually pleasing, but parties that are too busy with intellectual purity tests and too little with moderation and common sense tend to be parties that aren't very pleasant to be ruled by. You guys have got two of them.

My solution: allow it until 12 weeks except for calamities surrounding the mother's or the child's health (including severe disabilities), in which case it could take place later, and be done with it.
