Sweden and Finland set to join NATO in May

NATO is an alliance expressly aimed at strengthening member states' national security. Turkey has been a member for decades while Finland and Sweden now want to be in. If Finland and Sweden are actually supporting Kurdish independence fighters using violent means, I don't think it is strange at all for Turkey to demand concessions before they can enter NATO. And I also think it is ridiculous for Swedish foreign policy to be hijacked by one Kurdish MP who apparently holds a massive amount of power.

The Slovenian National Assembly voted yesterday 77-5 for Sweden, 76-5 for Finland.

The Latvian Saeima voted yesterday 78-0 for Sweden, 77-0 for Finland. President Egils Levits signed the ratification protocols today.

The Croatian Parliament voted today 125-3 for Sweden, 124-3 for Finland.

On July 7th, Dutch parliament voted 142-8 in favor of both countries joining (they were combined in the vote). Only FVD and its most recent splitoff BVNL voted against.

Let's be honest, Finland and Sweden was already all but NATO in name to begin with. This is just a formality. Marin is just as much a puppet for Brussels and Washington as her predecessors were.
