I really hope that the other countries materially punish the US for this: China and the EU levying carbon taxes on US-made, -grown, -transported products; international manufacturers like Toyota and Volkswagen closing plants and moving production out of the US; multinational corporations with offices in the US, but particularly those in cities of the Trump voting states (Atlanta, Houston, Dallas) moving their offices to Toronto or Monterrey. If those tactics don't work by the midterms, then China and the EU states should call in their US treasury debts. Oh, and they shouldn't lift a finger working with the US about any nonsense about "Islamic terrorism" (in fact, that can be tactic No. 1) because far more people are killed by pollution and rising temperatures than by "terrorism". In essence, make the losses in jobs and tax revenue so severe that no amount of Trump pandering/subsidization of a handful of US fossil fuel companies can make up the difference. The civilized world needs to teach ignorant self-indulgent American pigs a hard lesson.
