Keep in mind that Donald Trump is at much more risk than either Boris Johnson or Bolsonaro. Boris Johnson is 18 years younger than Trump yet still had to spend time in intensive care. Bolsonaro is only 9 years younger but is an ex-paratrooper and far more physically fit than Trump.

BoJo had bad pneumonia when he was younger, so that probably contributed to his issues.

Based on my experience with my dad, it probably wouldn’t hurt to do that. My dad had a bad day and then was fine for a week. Then, after that week, he was feeling worse than before for like another week or so. He was sleeping for like 14 hours a day and had a 101F fever while taking ibuprofen and acetaminophen.

So, it’s possible that we could see the same sort of thing with Trump: not feeling great, then ok for a few days to a week, then it hits with a vengeance. I have heard similar accounts with other folks too.

I’m somewhat doubtful of him being able to debate. The Trump campaign can say all they want, but a week and a half is a long time in Covid-time. Let’s see how he feels (and tests) in a week.

Trump is no Teddy Roosevelt. I don’t think getting out and campaigning in his health would be good for him (disregarding the harm he would cause by spreading Covid like fertilizer on a lawn).
