RNO-LAS-ABQ - no plane change, though I was one of only five passengers that took both legs of the flight. Very bumpy landing in Vegas thanks to the wind. About 355 lbs CO2 according to my trip planner. First flight since late 2018. Still not a fan of flying, though I do like take-off. Just not landing or cruising.

I don't mean this as a criticism of Nevada lest Joe Republic flog me again (we will continue to disagree on that general topic), but the vast majority of the time I've flown into Vegas, it's been a wild landing. Takeoff seems ok. I'd say probably 95% of the landings were notably bumpy. I suppose something about the geographic conditions with the mountains? When I was riding on Colombian Air Force planes back in the day, even their landings on dirt runways in the desert or the jungle were smoother on average than LAS. Or it might just have been the time of day -- I almost always was on 1 of 2 flights from the East Coast.

It was about 1:30-2 PM when I landed, for reference. Take off was fine. I’ve only been to Vegas’s airport once before and I was 6, so I don’t really remember that flight.

Over the last week:

First time I had flown *into* SMF since 2009. Flown out of it a lot more. I take a lot of one-way trips and then drive haha. The layover in PHX got me Maricopa County!

Went through Vegas twice earlier this month. First time was picking up a new work vehicle; second time was a layover on the way to pickup some new vehicles.
