NE FIFE - LIB gain from SNP, MAJORITY OF 1 VOTE

To go to a recount, surely? Or is this post-recount?

They already had several, apparently.

It would certainly be very risky for Sturgeon to push forward with a referendum right now. Losing two referendums in a row would look bad for the cause.

How come Lib Dems did well in some random seats but not in places right next to them? For example, North Norfalk.

Advantage of being an incumbent MP, plus tactical voting by Labour supporters to prevent a Tory from winning.

Which constituency has the lowest winning vote share? Ceredigion was won with 29.2%; are there constituencies which were won with less than that?

Is that in Wales?

Yes, Plaid Cymru gain from Lib Dems.

Well, part of the reason that the GOP is toxic to Manhattanians is their social conservatism, right? The Tories are not that socially conservative; a majority of their MPs voted in favour of gay marriage, for example. I think the DUP would be closer to the GOP in social issues.

The difference between allying oneself with the DUP as opposed to the SNP is, of course, that the DUP wants to retain the integrity of the United Kingdom whereas the SNP wants Scotland to leave the UK.
