I think you're well aware that only certain right-wing Evangelical groups believe that, while most of the rest (including Catholics and even Mormons) believe that people of all faiths go to Heaven.
I never understood the claim that believing only those of a certain religion are saved makes one an intolerant person. Notwithstanding the fact that one could even believe that and be a misotheist (thinking God is a tyrant), very few people who believe in hell like the fact that people go there under their worldview.
