The biggest FF in the Senate.  A courageous defender of liberty, both as as Texas's solicitor general and now in the Senate.  A watchdog against big government, a protector of life, and a stalwart for conservative judges.  

Would have been an amazing President, and I hope he runs again in the future.  His nickname should be Terrific Ted.

Thought for sure he was Solicitor General.

Whoops - you're right.  I had confused my terms there, but the point is I greatly appreciate the work he did arguing cases before the Supreme Court on behalf of the state of Texas.

I thought you were fiscally moderate. Cruz is very fiscally extreme.

I'm not as right-wing as Cruz on economic issues, sure, but I appreciate the fact that he doesn't bend on principle due to criticism (including from his own party), is a staunch social conservative, has fought the good fight in front of the Supreme Court, and is a big proponent of shifting taxes more toward consumption instead of income, a move I am a big fan of.
