Because modern liberalism is firmly based in reality and modern conservatism is firmly based in fantasy.


LOL....the idea that govt can solve problems and bring about utopia is the very definition of fantasy. Of course to a liberal the idea that individuals are smart enough to make their own decisions, without a central planner, is fantasy.
