This is a fantastic decision on his part, but it should not have taken the shooting in SC to get this done.

Actually, Virginia was under court order to provide Confederate flag license plates until very recently.  This policy couldn't have been changed until the June 18th Supreme Court decision labeling license plates as government speech, not private speech.  

But yeah, shame on McAuliffe for waiting 5 days.

Ah, I didn't know that. Good on Governor McAuliffe for expediting this then.

It's still a shame that it took this tragedy to spur Governor Haley into action.
