Why the eff is the state that is the home of Sydney has the highest No vote?Huh
Becuase of the conservative non-English speaking background community that live In Western Sydney

Another question, doesn't Melbourne and Sydney have the same proportions of immigrant communities, but Melbourne even in immigrant areas had a higher yes% vote than in Sydney.

Isn't Melbourne generally less "ghettoised" than Sydney?

As in, it is more mixed throughout, as opposed to having places like Cabramatta or Bankstown that have huge concentrations of Vietnamese or Lebanese

I get that but even if it's spread, the ethnic vote in Melbourne seems to be more in favour than the ethnic vote in Sydney such as in electorates of callwell and bruce which voted no at a lesser rate than sydney electorates. Furthermore, there were areas in Melbourne with a sizeable ethnic population that voted yes, while there was no case like that Sydney.
