The bhutaneese king, wasn't an absolute fyck wit. They didn't have a royal massacare either, or a significant politcal upheaval from maoists in where the king, the police decided to be despotic, interrogate/sometimes torture, rape random people in villages, which severely shook faith in the king, the government and resulted in the maoists gaining more power, but also increasing power for the moderate opposition, allowing it to be more radical, in their support for a democratic republic, whether it was done to counter the increasing power of the maoists, or of strong opposition to the conservatism, traditionalism, and authoritarianism of the king. .
