Trump still more favorable than Hillary?

Probably because many Democrats are angry at her for losing. Also no need for Democrats who were on the fence for her to force themselves to like her anymore.

I will say about Sanders' popularity, I'd attribute that to the perception of him as "authentic" and simply a nonthreatening old man. But if he had been the nominee, Republicans would've torn him to pieces. His popularity would be much worse.
