Ugh weren't we doing appointments a couple of months ago? And then before that, special elections? And before that, appointments? And before that, special elections? I swear, it seems the NE has changed this dynamic back and forth about 12 times since 2012...
There's a time limit for special elections. It was at the halfway stage of the term, but we've voted to make it two weeks before the next general election. Any vacancies after the cutoff is filled by appointment.

It has been indicated to me that twistory123 will be without his Internet connection. Therefore, in the great tradition of our region, we have a special election next weekend.

All those who are willing to declare, feel free.
The weekend of July 4th and 5th?

Is it ironic that earlier today I was watching the National Geographic documentary on the 2000s, which began with none other than Florida? Wink

Holy hell. So rpryor won, by one preference, in a tiebreaker count caused by a vote that was literally twenty seconds before the deadline.

This has to be the closest election in the history of Atlasia.
There were, ironically, three Labour second preferences that counted for rpryor in the tiebreaker - brought down by my own party Tongue.

I'll go through the results later to see if I spot anything else that might affect the results...

But unless anyone else spots anything else, congratulations rpryor. Smiley
